The final week of the U.S. presidential campaign was overtaken by Hurricane Sandy, with both camps forced to halt campaigning in the few days they had left. While Mitt Romney pitched in to hand out relief supplies, many saw the storm as a chance for President Obama to look commanding and rally Americans around his response to the crisis.

Obama picked up the support of New York Mayor Micheal Bloomberg and jobs numbers out Friday gave both candidates some talking points.
