Hello again, everybody. As we get started, here's a few answers from questions I had to check on lasts week: 1.) To the person who asked if injured reserve players count against the cap. The answer is: Yes. All IR players count against the cap. 2.) Number of players the Rams have on their current offseason roster. The signing of Chris Williams brings the Rams to 51 players on their offseason roster. So with every player the Rams sign from here on out, they can subtract the lowest cap figure on the current 51, with the new contract. 3.) Quntin Mikell's minimum salary on a one-year deal to return to the Rams would be $940,000. But if he signed what's called a minimum salary benefit deal it would count less than the $940K. (I think about $540K).

Hard to tell at this point. Rams don't seem too worried. But strange that he's gone underground. Let's see if he's present at the start of the offseason conditioning program on April 15.

I think the Rams are looking at all the top wide receivers, and Hunter obviously would be in the top group. He's got very good size, posted very good numbers last season at Tennessee _ much better than Cordarrelle Patterson. Played in only 3 games in 2011 because of ACL injury (left knee).

1.) interesting question. Don't know if I have an answer for you except to say that Mikell is a strong safety _ and free safeties seem to be in more demand in this passisng league _ and Mikell also turns 33 in September. Maybe his asking price is too high, but don't know. It's far from a slam dunk that the Rams will take a safety in the first round, especially where they're sitting now at No. 16 and No. 22. Everyone tells me there will be good safety prospects in Rounds 2 and 3.

I think Austin would be one of those X-factor players who could be used all over the place _ on returns, trick plays, in the slot, in the backfield _ and cause matchup problems.

I feel pretty safe in saying that you wouldn't be the only one.

It's possible. I don't about taking them in back-to-back rounds. But right now there's just Stewart, McLeod and Daniels on the roster at safety _ and Daniels is coming off a knee injury.
