HS football Friday chat (Regional semifinals): Real-time scores, stats, analysis

Ten minutes until kickoff for Mesquite Poteet-Wylie East in a Class 4A Division II Region II semifinal at Rockwall's Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium. East is averaging 66.5 points in its first two playoff wins, and Poteet is averaging 49. This one could turn into a wild six-man style football game before the night is over.

Mildred's gone Southlake Carroll circa 2002 with all blond hair. Interesting.

Half an hour to kickoff at Eagle Stadium between Frisco and Tyler John Tyler. We've got a nice night for football. Sixty four degrees, a VERY slight wind. The John Tyler (or JT for short, not to be confused with everybody's favorite JT, Justin Timberlake) band is all set to go. Frisco's band is more of the fashionably late type.

There's an accident on the street next to the stadium. The firetruck remains there, blocking traffic. The ambulance, just left. Hope that dude (or lady) in the white car is OK.
