Welcome back to the chat room. Who'd have guessed that in a span of a week the arrow would be pointing up on the Cowboys and down on the Rangers? Let's get started...

This is a franchise that judges quarterbacks by championships. Romo has proven over the years to be a stout regular-season quarterback. He has passed for 4,000 yards in seasons and could get to 5,000 this year. But the month that matters is January -- not September, October, November and December. Romo must win some games in the post-season to change public, national and my perception of him.

I thought the Cowboys would split these two home games with Pittsburgh and New Orleans. I chalked up a loss against Pittsburgh -- and if Antonio Brown had not fumbled away that punt late, it may very well have been a loss. With that win in the bag, I'd look for the Cowboys to now sweep these two games. The Cowboys outlasted a very good defense to win against Pittsburgh. This week they face the worst defense in the NFL. If Morris Claiborne is back, I would look for the Cowboys to win a shootout against the Saints.

Six of the underdogs that covered were playing against the Cowboys.

I said after the Thanksgiving game I believed the Redskins would win out and capture the NFC East. I still think that. Getting past Cleveland in Cleveland Sunday with a backup quarterback was huge for the Redskins. The Cowboys struggled to beat the Browns in overtime at home with their starting quarterback.

It's rare you find quality OL and DL in free agency. To build great lines you have to draft for them. If the Cowboys are going to upgrade on the offensive front, they need to take at least two OL in their first four picks -- and then play them. If you're going to use a fourth-round pick on David Arkin and then make him a two-year inactive...what's the point in drafting him? You're wasting the pick. The Cowboys need to make a philosophical change in how they address their OL.

Haven't study the game tape yet. Been busy writing all morning.

The quarterback is the great equalizer on Sundays. Right now, the playmaking ability of Romo is allowing the Cowboys to compete for a division title with a mediocre team.

I'll pass along your suggestion to those above me who make those decisions. I saw my first FC Dallas game last August and it was enjoyable. The crowd wasn't big but it was loud and I love the fact you can get in and out of the stadium in two hours.
