Ready to go. Send those Cowboys, Mavs, Rangers, Johnny Football questions, AL MVP, whatever you got.

Kinda quiet here too with Tim's technical problems. He'll be back in just a few minutes. Thanks for your patience.

OK back. Not sure what happened. I wrote this morning about the anxiety of Rangers fans. Nothing bad happening but nothing good either. Greinke? I don't see the need to put that kind of money into a rotation that has Darvish, Harrison, Ogando, Holland and at some point Lewis or Feliz or possibly an improved Perez. More worried about how the middle infield shakes out and who gets traded.

Don't have my Aggies history book in front of me, but beating a No. 1 team in the nation on the road, especially a defending champion, and doing it in that fashion? It can't get any better than that for the Aggies and when you throw in a freshman QB moving to the top of the Heisman charts -- not so much for the award but for what it represents going forward -- that has to be the best.

Pretty sure that goes to Bill Snyder, doesn't it? I mean Manhattan, Kan., is just such a natural hotbed for recruiting. Seriously, I don't know who's competing with him at the moment.

For Ricky Romero? You see him pitch last year? No, that's a terrible deal. I'm reluctant to trade offense for pitching under most circumstances -- how did Volquez for Hamilton work for the Reds? -- but I would sure want more than Romero for Ian Kinsler.

No. Texas should have concerns but not that. How often are the Aggies going to change conferences, every four years? You can really only play that card once....unless you're TCU.

haha, no, the Canadian players are welcome to head to Europe, too. Where's Jamie Benn, Hamburg? Last I checked he wasn't German.

Nothing. Every coach the Cowboys have had the last 20 years has talked about fixing penalties. The Raiders talked about it when they were good and they talked about when they were bad. You can change players and hope you get more talented, competent athletes over time. But coaches rarely if ever fix penalties after a season starts.

I have never once heard a single "pundit" hype the LHN. I've seen, heard and read lots of us making fun of it. You really need to get over the UT paranoia and enjoy your new league and the great season your team is having.

Does that really need an explanation? A third straight year of not competing for the Big "12" title, two of those years awful, this one improved but still with its own embarrassments. That needs an explanation for a team that should dominate its league based on revenues, resources, coaching salaries, geography and everything else the school has to offer (not including the lack of a statue of me outside the journalism building)?
