Computer woes solved. Hopefully. Let's go.

Might be having 2nd thoughts about whether or not they were enough. Although we know a lot of the issues have been at tackle where this team was expected to be set after switching Free and Smith. Line isn't very good. Like a lot of things with the 2012 Cowboys.

Gomer, I'm going to take the 2nd part of your question first because I hate that mentality, the one that says the team is better off missing the playoffs and losing games and raising its position in the draft. I think that's an idiot's position. If the draft were filled with sure things, it might make a slight degree of sense but even then it would be limited. It's always better to win, to experience winning and to grow from there.

Now as to the first part of your question, the winner of the Cowboys-Eagles game will be 4-5 and two games behind the Giants. If that's the Eagles, they could still win the division (ridiculous as that sounds) because of their win over New York. If it's the Cowboys, I don't think that's likely but they would be in the hunt for the second wild card. The NFC's second wild card is likely to be a 9-7 team, no better than that. A win Sunday keeps that thin hope alive.

You know if you've been to this space before I like putting Ogando back in the rotation. I don't see why he can't be what he was in 2011. Beyond that, I think the starting pitching is good. Darvish and Harrison as 1-2 is pretty good in the A.L. Holland as a 4 with, as you mentioned, Lewis or Feliz or Martin Perez as options sooner or later gives this team a rotation that can win without a big off-season move.

I'd rather have Adams because for the most part for the last four years in San Diego and Texas, he's been a very, very good 8th inning man. Koji has been hit or miss but finished the season strong. I'm spending the extra money to get Adams if it's up to me.

No shock at all on Odom. Seems like from the magazines I see in the grocery store checkout line Odom has personal issues to address. As for Murphy, my feeling even before Dirk gets back is that he is way, way down the list of the rotation. I don't think he's been the player some believe he is for the last 2-3 years. Trust me, I play enough fantasy basketball to know these things. Murphy's just a body.

Still a stupid contention, Gomer. Send in Goober with a question.

Guy, a whole bunch of folks thought Roy could play. Everyone thought the price was too high but the feeling was he had had some productive games in a terrible Lions offense and would excel here. Roy is truly a nice guy and also a player who just doesn't care to work at his craft. At all.
