With the news breaking about the Catholic 7 (plus Butler and Xavier) taking the Big East Name and contracts over - what does this mean for SMU and their pending move to the Big East? It now looks like the conference that SMU agreed to join will no longer exist after this season...

Do you think the Cowboys will go heavy on OL and DL early in the draft? They have huge needs there but I could also see them spending a high pick on a safety considering they haven't had a good one since Darren Woodson.

Cowboys should spend most of their picks on rebuilding both lines but they won't. I think this is write off season for Dirk, think he still has a couple of good years left. I wish SMU would consider coming back to CONF USA. I think mid-majors need to be in regionally based conferences that make sense to fans.

Can the Mavs really go through another season with a bunch of place holders assuming they miss out the big star this summer? I know they are in a tough spot and Dirk's giant cap number is off the books after next season, but how do sell your fanbase on another season like the current one?

I don't think so. I don't think fans wll be excited about hoping to be a 6th seed in the West with no shot at being a true contender

What is your current stance on Anthony Spencer? I know you were in the opposite camp of Sturm before the season, but do you think the Cowboys should do what it takes to keep him?

I think I agree with Bob now because he has finally put up big numbers. I think the Cowboys would love to keep him but I don't know if they can make it work

UNT question for you! This year has been a huge disappointment in basketball. What's the deal? Where do you see Tony Mitchell in the draft?

I have been told there is a good chance Tony Mitchell will stay another year and he should. Not ready for the NBA yet. My guess would be 2nd round if he came out this year. He's a good kid and told me this week that Tony Benford is the best coach he has ever played for. I'm a fan of Benford too

Is it just me George or are you a lot more critical of Jerry now than were a few years ago? Not saying you're criticisms are unjust but you were one of his bigger defenders while you were VOTS.
